Review of Rhythm & Howl Gluten-Free Choices
Rhythm & Howl Gluten-free Review

The Rhythm & Howl Restaurant is located in the Everwild Canmore-Nordic Spa & Hotel (1 Silvertip Trail, Canmore, AB T1W 2Z7).
There is plenty of parking in front of the hotel.
They have a dedicated fryer and gluten-free options, but note that they are not 100% gluten-free.

Inside the Rhythm & Howl.
Here is a view of inside as you walk into the restaurant. You first enter the lobby with a large fireplace on the left. If going to the spa area you would turn left and use the elevators behind the fireplace to go downstairs.
Past the lobby desk you can see the Rhythm & Howl Restaurant. There is a nice ambiance and the seating is comfortable. The music is not too loud. Service was excellent and I felt that our server was knowledgeable about a celiac's gluten-free dietary needs.

We decided to share the meal, so all the dishes we ordered were gluten-free. We started with the pan seared scallops. Very tasty. Well cooked, not chewy. I didn't find the green pea puree overpowering. The watercress gave the dish a nice sharpness. Those little circles are the passionfruit gel, I didn't really taste the passionfruit.

Have to start with a drink! I tried the Saskatoon Lemonade. The pink drink. Annex is a Calgary company. I really enjoyed the flavour and would order it again. Sorry, I don't remember what the other drink was.

The truffle fries were to die for! I could just eat these, and be perfectly content. Nice crunchy outside and fluffy inside. The dip on the side was so tasty. I definitely recommend trying them.

Tried the Atlantic Salmon. It was well cooked and crispy on top. The sauce was a creamy bonito chowder with cubes of cucumber. The cucumber paired well with the salmon giving each bite a freshness. For those that love the fried fish skin, they have removed it from the fish and I think deep-fried it. You can see the fried fish skin behind the salmon on the photo above.

The ribeye was good, but I felt the one I had in February was better. The sauce was delicious. Not sure where the bone marrow was. The charred romaine was just ok, a little oily. I don't think this dish was worth $64. I would not order it again. It wasn't bad, but I was underwhelmed.

I ended the evening with a cappuccino, The cup was so cute. Nice froth of milk and strong coffee.

I have been before in February of 2026 and the menu has changed since then. Above is the menu as of the summer of 2026.
Loved the atmosphere. Last time we were here it was a Friday and they had live piano music. This time it was midweek so no music.
I felt comfortable with their attention to a celiac's dietary needs.
I would go back for the fries!
